Der Name „Argies" ist der abwertende Spitzname für „Argentinien", ein Ausdruck, der weitgehend von den britischen Soldaten während des Krieges in Malvinas (Falkland) 1982 verwendet wurde. Mit dem auf beiden Falklandkriegsseiten herrschenden Chauvinismus haben The Argies aber nichts zu schaffen. Im Gegenteil: Mit der Adaption des Schimpfwortes stellen sich die antirassistischen Politpunks bewusst an die Seite jedweder Minderheiten und Außenseiter, statt Nationalismus pflegen sie Internationalismus. Musikalisch ist die Combo sehr stark vom klassischen englischen Punk der Jahre 1976 bis 1979 beeinflusst worden: The Clash, Sham 69, die Buzzcocks sowie die US-Bands Social Distortion und Rancid gehören zu den akustischen Referenzpunkten der Argies - Rancid auch deshalb, weil sich auf den bislang zwölf Alben neben druckvollem Rock mitunter auch Ska-, Reggae- und Latin-Anleihen finden.

Die Cyanide Pills sind wahrscheinlich die tollste Band der Welt.... vier Alben, eine 10’’ Live Scheibe und 10 Singles nennen sie ihr eigen, die vierte Platte „Soundtrack to the new cold war“ erschien am 4.August 2023, natürlich wieder auf Damaged Goods.
Ein neues Album ist gerade in Arbeit.
Denkt an The Boys, Buzzcocks, The Briefs, Ramones und ihr wisst worauf es hier hinausläuft. Die weiße Lederjacke ist immer dabei, ebenso wie ihre bonbonfarbenen Sonnenbrillen. Diese coolen Typen spielen deine Lieblings Punkrocksongs, verpackt in Kaugummi und Zuckerwatte, mit einer sehr britisch schnoddrigen 1977er Punkattitüde, tief verwurzelt im Pubrock und Glam, und treiben das Songwriting zu totaler Perfektion. Sie singen über
die gleichen sozialen Missstände in der Welt wie sie damals schon in den 1970ern herrschten. Und sie haben eine Menge Humor. Nichts ist ihnen zu ernst.
Oder vielleicht ist es das doch?
Die Cyanide Pills gründeten sich nachdem sich ein paar Kumpels, die bereits in Bands in der Leeds Punkszene umtriebig waren, entschieden, ihre Ressourcen zu sammeln und die Band zu gründen, in der sie schon immer sein wollten. Das war Mitte 2008.
Damaged Goods Records London nahm die Band gleich unter ihre Fittiche und die Debut single ‘Break It Up’ wurde Anfang 2009 veröffentlicht. Ihr selftitled Debutalbum erblicke 2010 das Licht der Welt. Und der Rest ist Geschichte.
Seitdem touren die Cyanide Pills mehrmals im Jahr durch Europa, veröffentlichen eine Single und Platte nach der nächsten, und jeder neue Song ist so wunderbar perfekt geschrieben, es ist schwer die Band nicht zu lieben.
Sie nennen sich selbst eine Bande von nicht funktionierenden Außenseitern, die schweres Gepäck mit sich rum tragen und nicht vertrauenswürdige Loser sind. Aber sie machen einen großartigen Sound. Das ist das, was sie wirklich gut können!

Das JANCEE PORNICK CASINO ist die Band um JANCEE WARNICK, deutsch-amerikanischer Gitarrist und Gelegenheitsverbrecher mit einem Faible für Rockabilly, Schmuddelfilme und Wodka.
1999 trifft dieser auf 2 russische Wirtschaftsflüchtlinge. Diese multi-nationale Bande wird seitdem nicht müde, hochdosiertes Adrenalin in eine musikalische Form zu giessen. Nach unglaublichen 3000 Konzerten in Europa und Russland und 7 produzierten Schallplatten, brachten sie 2015 ihr aktuelles Album PLANET GIRLS zustande.
Nach 3 Jahren Arbeit im hermetisch abgeriegelten Studio war Jancee's Freundin und Beraterin der erste Mensch, der die bis dahin geheimen Songs hören konnte. Ihre spontane Reaktion war: "Denkst Du eigentlich irgendwann auch mal an was Anderes als an Sex?" Jancee wusste daraufhin nicht viel zu sagen, ausser "Sex ist nicht alles, aber ohne Sex ist alles nichts."
Das PORNICK CASINO mixt einen unwiderstehlichen Molotow-Cocktail aus Surfmusik, Rockabilly und 60's Garage Punk, aufgefüllt mit russischer Seele, Adrenalin und Selbstironie. Jancee's furioses Gitarrenspiel kreuzt dabei die Virtuosität von BRIAN SETZER mit der Energie von ANGUS YOUNG und wird dabei angetrieben von Morosovs Bass-Balalaika und Chris' Drum-Feuerwerk mit der Stärke eines sibirischen Orkans.

TV SMITH – BIOGRAPHY:
TV Smith was founder member, singer and songwriter for the Adverts, who formed in late 1976, and became one of the leading bands in the first wave of British punk rock. In early 1977, they performed regularly at the newly-opened Roxy Club in London, and gained cult success with the Stiff Records single "One Chord Wonders." Their next release, "Gary Gilmore's Eyes" became a hit record, leading to many radio and TV appearances and extensive media interest. A further single, “No Time To Be 21,” also entered the charts, and the band spent the rest of the year playing live, including major tours with The Damned and Iggy Pop. The album that followed in early 1978, "Crossing the Red Sea with the Adverts," is still considered a genuine classic of the era and is often cited as one of the twenty best punk albums ever released.
The Adverts released one further album, “Cast Of Thousands,” before their split in 1979. Slammed by the critics at the time, the album was re-released recently on Fire Records to universal acclaim, and described by Mojo magazine as “the long lost punk album that rivals The Clash’s ‘London Calling’.”
Immediately after the break up, TV formed TV Smith's Explorers, who achieved a U.K. hit in 1980 with the single “Tomahawk Cruise” and released one album, “Last Words Of The Great Explorer” a year later. Lack of commercial success led to the band being dropped by their record label and their subsequent split. TV re-entered the live arena in 1986 with Cheap, before performing his first gigs as a solo artist in the early ’90’s. He has gone on to release a succession of critically-acclaimed albums, including “March Of The Giants” (1992), “Immortal Rich” (1995), “Generation Y” (1999), “Not A Bad Day” (2003), “Misinformation Overload” (2006), “In The Arms Of My Enemy” (2008), and “Coming In To Land” (2011). He has also been involved in a number of collaborations with other bands, most notably with German superstars Die Toten Hosen, who performed as TV’s backing band on the album “Useless.”
At the request of his fans, in 2013 TV released “The Acoustic Sessions,” an album of solo performances, recorded live in the studio with renowned producer Jon Caffery. Vive Le Rock magazine called it “an album that sits alongside the Angry Brigade output of Pete Townsend, Roger Waters and Lou Reed, but hits you with the wallop of bare knuckle punk.” Late 2014 saw the release of a new TV Smith album entitled “I Delete," his sixteenth as a solo artist, which has been acclaimed by critics and fans alike.
Fiercely independent and determinedly embodying the original spirit of punk rock, TV continues to tour the world, bringing his epic solo show to ever-increasing audiences. Remarkably, he plays his concerts without a setlist and every performance contains a different selection of songs chosen on the night. He plays more than 120 gigs a year and has performed all over Europe, as well as the USA, Japan, Australia, South America, Russia – and even Helgoland.
Not content with playing live, TV has also has written about his on-the-road experiences in five books of highly popular Tour Diaries, described by “Sandman” and “American Gods” author Neil Gaiman as, “hilarious, honest and incredibly true.” The fifth and final volume, “Book Of The Year,” contains a write-up of every one of the 130 gigs TV played in 2013. In Autumn of 2016, TV’s first ever book of lyrics will be published by Foruli Codex. Exquisitely designed by Cure designer Andy Vella, and entitled “The Alternative Top 50,” the book comprises fifty of what are arguably TV’s best lyrics. It will be available as a conventional paperback, as well as an exclusive collectors’ hardback edition which includes a 10’ vinyl single that TV has recorded with Henry Rollins.

stammende Adam Bomb eine Coverband namens Tyrant.
Danach schloss er sich der Band TKO an, die mit ihm das Album
"In Your Face" aufnahm. Mit 16 wurde bei Bomb für ein Vorspielen bei KISS angefragt.

The Courettes are praised by the coolest music magazines around the world. In 2020 the band signed with legendary British label Damaged Goods Records, putting them on the same roster as top international rock icons like Buzzcocks, Amyl and the Sniffers, Billy Childish and many others.

Du willst eine Stimme, die tief unter die Haut geht? Ausnahmekünstler Ski King bringt mit seiner einzigartigen Stimme sogar die innersten Fasern deines Körpers zum Vibrieren. Er und seine Kollegen leben sich mit diesem Projekt künstlerisch aus. Und: NEIN, es ist KEINE Johnny-Cash-Coverband.
Wer von Ski Coversongs erwartet, muss zu einer seiner Solo-Shows gehen. Bei SKI'S COUNTRY TRASH gibt es eigene Songs auf die Ohren.
Die Band wurde 2007 gegründet, nachdem Ski Ende 2006 den „Walk The Line“-Music Cover Contest gewann. Aufgrund der Frage, ob er denn Johnny Cash auch live mit Band performen würde, suchte Ski sich seine Musiker für SKI'S COUNTRY TRASH zusammen. Doch wurde das Covern sehr schnell durch selbstkomponierte Songs ersetzt, genau das, was SKI'S COUNTRY TRASH ausmacht. Wie in jeder anderen Band auch, sollte sich die Besetzung jedoch noch einige Male ändern, bis dann endlich das heutige LineUp gefunden war. Unter anderem wurde der Kontrabass mehrere Male neu besetzt, bis die verrückt-quirlige Lea Randella (The Tigerettes) kam, seither bei SKI'S COUNTRY TRASH die tiefen Saiten zupft und slapt.
